ABOUT CONNIE
Connie Lior, a former advertising executive, started CBL 22 years ago. While in Israel on vacation Connie encountered a prominent art dealer, as well as artisans in need of marketing their crafts in America. Having just sold her advertising business, Connie thought, "Sure, why not? I'll give it a shot."
One thing led to another and soon Connie opened her first gallery in Maplewood, NJ with only 600 square feet including storage. It was quite "cozy", to put it mildly, but it really launched the business.
After four years in Maplewood, Connie enlarged CBL's size, staff and inventory by relocating the gallery to West Orange, NJ. "It was a terrific move and helped solidify our success. We're thrilled to be part of such a thriving community." Most recently, CBL doubled its gallery size yet again, and is now able to showcase its fabulous merchandise even more beautifully.
ABOUT UZI
A native Israeli, Uzi arrived in the U.S. in the early 70s shortly after serving in the Israeli Defense Forces. He worked full time during the day and attended college at night. Armed with an accounting degree, Uzi went on to work for Price Waterhouse and then Panasonic. After 20 years in the accounting world, Uzi decided "change was ripe" and joined our team!
